the ships come around the edge, pause, then begin launching missiles at the now level treeships.

The treeships cast barrier spells to stop the missiles, and fire back with much more powerful explosive spells than they've used in prior engagements, these seeming to be DESIGNED for fighting starships.

the spells slam into the shields, distorting them, but they hold, as more missiles and torpedoes leap from the launch tubes.

Laser spells lance from the treeships, raking across the torpedos and missiles, taking out a good majority of them before the ships are struck by the remaining few. In response, the ships unleash a hellish, sustained volley of their ship-size explosive spells against the Howlon ships.

the CAs close into KEC range as the missiles are shredded, and as the anti-capital-ship spells hit, they open fire with their KECs, their shields holding till they close to point blank range, then failling, but the spells wash over the hardened armor, scorching it and melting off slabs. at point-blank range they fire their KECs, and open fire with hordes of Blazer-missiles. [Blazer-missiles: cluster missile pods that carry a payload of napalm like warheads, designed for anti-treeship combat, but not much else, and few are carried.]

One of the treeships is hit by the Blazers, reeling away as if in pain, as the other ships blast the blazers heading for them. They then return fire with more powerful laser spells, designed to cut through metal cleanly, while vaporizing most other matter.

three of the six seem to experience seizures, and arc out from the planet, the other three angle straight towards the treeships, launching the last of their Blazer-missiles, and firing some Stoker-missiles, with torpedoes mixed in. [Stoker-missiles: low-yield thermo-nuclear focused warheads.]

Another sweep of anti-missile lasers rakes across the oncoming missiles, detonating them midflight as the treeships begin pulling away, continuing their bombardment.

with armored prows to the bombardment, the CAs rush forward, KECs firing as they go. They suddenly seem to fall and vanish, then appear behind the treeships, turning and firing missile clusters.

The Bajing ships snap out of existence for a moment, appearring in a much higher orbit, as space seems to 'snap' into place, large meteoroids hurtling towards the Howlon craft, leaving them two options...
-Move, and let the meteors hit the world below... -Or take the impact, protecting the planet.

The ships dash out of the way at the same time that a ripple washes over the world below.....the planetary shields are up. the asteroids hit the shields, vaporizing, and the shields collapse. The CAs set up in a defensive position between the world and the treeships.

The Treeships unleash another volloey of meteors, larger than the last, which fall towards the world, the treeships GONE once the meteors have moved enough to reveal their location.

The CAs vanish after receiving a comm signal from the surface, too short and scrambled for you to decrypt. Any sensors you have that can see into Sub-space see that the CAs are retreating out of the system.
"This is Planetary Governer Dorn Colson, please recall your meteors! We beg you, our shields are down and the destruction will be total if they hit! We are prepared to surrender unconditionally! Please, stop the meteors!"

The meteors are obliterated from behind, as the treeships which had been behind them blow them to dust.
"Your surrender is accepted. Cease all attacks on Haupehtep vessels in this system."
With that, the ships are gone.
